Paul went 5-0 as a professional boxer and knocked out every man he faced, most recently stopping former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in Tampa in December.
Woodley had already been edged out by Paul in August and replaced Fury, 23, who pulled out of the December fight citing injury and illness.
Now Fury – half-brother of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson – is set to box Paul in Madison Square Garden in New York on August 6. However, the Briton was arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport on Monday, casting doubt on the chances of the fight taking place.
Fury was attempting to travel to New York for a pre-fight press conference with American Paul, who accused his opponent of taking “no action” to resolve travel issues. The 25-year-old also took to Twitter on Wednesday to offer to face Fury in the UK, but on one condition.
“Update: We’ve spoken to Tommy Fury’s attorneys,” Paul said in a video. “They all advise him to go to the embassy to get his visa.
“That’s all he has to do, but Tommy shows no urgency. He hasn’t left yet, he doesn’t communicate with us about what he’s doing. Is this just another case of ‘Tommy Fumbles’ just scared to fight me? I think that’s it. I think the Fury family is trying to manipulate something here to get me to fight in the UK.
“Okay, do you want me to fight in the UK?” Show me $15 million, because here in America we’re doing more pay-per-view, we’re selling more tickets, and we’re doing more sponsorship. I showed you the money, we’re ready to go – MSG, August 6.
“Tommy, are you going to miss the biggest pay day of your life, because you want me to come to the UK?” Like I said, I’ll come to that. Just show me the money, but you can’t do that; you don’t have $15 million.
“This is embarrassing. Go to the embassy, get your visa, and let’s make this fight happen. Stop dodging me and stop wasting my time.
Fury is 8-0 as a professional boxer, having last fought in April on his brother Tyson’s undercard knockout of Dillian Whyte.
The younger Fury edged out Daniel Bocianski that night, with the event taking place at Wembley Stadium in London.
