Jack Dorsey’s NFT tweet auction gets a warm welcome

The world’s first tweet is up for auction NFT the boom may end.

Crypt entrepreneur Sina Estavi acquired a tweet in 2006 Twitter founder Jack Dorsey in March 2021 for $ 2.9 million. He is now putting it up for auction, but the biggest bid so far is a paltry $ 6,849. The highest bid by the time the Estavi deadline was reached was just $ 277.

The NFT market grew in popularity in 2021, when users sent cryptocurrencies worth at least $ 44 billion (34 billion pounds) under contracts related to NFT markets, according to the blockchain data platform Chainalysis.

The most expensive single transaction was CryptoPunk NFT, which sold for $ 532 million in November 2021.

However, interest in digital assets seems to have waned in recent months. Google Trends data shows that the number of Internet search queries for the term “NFT” has more than halved since January.

Estavi has promised to donate 50% of the proceeds from the NFT tweet auction charity. In response on Twitter, Dorsey asked, “Why not 99% of that?”

Estavi replied, “I don’t want the rest for myself; I would prefer to use the rest to support blockchain projects. ”

Sina Estavi is the CEO of Bridge Oracle’s software business.
