The British have relied on buying a fan to stay comfortable at home. However, experts are currently warning you not to leave the appliance overnight.
Asthma and allergic patients are advised not to leave the fan on during sleep as it can disperse dust and pollen.
The Sleep Advisor said: “Look closely at the fan. If the blades are dusty, they will fly in the air every time you turn on the power.”
Leaving the fan overnight can affect the health and appearance of the skin, eyes and mouth.
Muscles can also cause stiffness, which can make it difficult to sleep with the fan on.
This was especially noticeable to those who slept with their fans facing their necks and faces.
The sleep advisor said: “This is because when the cold air is concentrated, the muscles can become tense and cramp.”
Currently, there are two extreme weather warnings that are valid until Friday.
The Met Office warns of life-threatening risks as Britain faces heat waves until the weekend.
Talking about BBC Breakfast, weathercaster Carol Kirkwood emphasized how the second extreme weather warning was introduced in Northern Ireland on Wednesday.
