England face New Zealand in the final Test of their three-match series having already claimed victory with two wins from the first two.

The hosts entertain at Headingley after securing an insurmountable 2-0 lead at Lord’s and Trent Bridge.

Ben Stokes got off to a perfect start as captain alongside new head coach Brendon McCullum, and will be hoping to end the series in Yorkshire with a third victory.

England will have to do without the country’s top wicket taker, James Anderson, who has an ankle injury and has been replaced in the squad by Surrey dressmaker Jamie Overton.

When is the third test?

England will face New Zealand at Headingley from Thursday June 23 until possible Monday June 23, unless the match ends earlier. The game is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. BST.

James Anderson will miss England’s final Test against New Zealand with an ankle problem. Captain Ben Stokes has confirmed the 39-year-old will miss the third Test at Headingley which starts on Thursday.

Surrey dressmaker Jamie Overton will make his Test debut in place of Anderson, with Stokes unsure of the severity of the veteran’s injury. Stokes revealed Overton’s inclusion as England’s only change for the New Zealand final Test, with twin brother Craig missing a cap.
