“I wish I could turn Bernard Tomic around. I really like Bernard. He’s a very complicated person.

“It would have completely changed his perception of the Australian people, so I wish we could tell him to stay (at the show).”

After the success of this year’s series, Tate said he’s flooded with talent agents who are pushing their stars forward to be part of next year’s show.

“Bernard Tomic, the doors are always open,” Stephen Tate, head of entertainment and facts programs at Ten, told Herald Sun this week.

“We have never had more approaches than we already had in 2023. They want to get on our radar sooner,” he added.

Tate said he was excited to sign up for the series with AFL’s great Nathan Buckley after turning down reality TV for years.

He went on to say that his ideal cast would include musicians, politicians, and legends.

Bernard suffered a big backlash after leaving the jungle of South Africa after only three nights in 2018.

“I was so happy that I was camping for the first time and thought I was around new people … half the day, I’m just depressed,” he said at the time.

The bad tennis boy boasted that his short stint on the reality TV series brought him a whopping $ 1 million payday.

“Because I’m a celebrity, I earned $ 1 million in four days,” he said. “I just bought another house. I’m buying everything on the Gold Coast.”

The current season of I’m A Celebrity ends on Sunday, January 30th.
