Combine siled data into a single API

Founded by Michael Lukaszczyk and Daniel Winter, GraphCMS addresses the challenge of freeing large amounts of siled data from third-party systems. GraphCMS does this through its Plug and Play solution – Content Federation.

GraphCMS allows users to programmatically combine siled data from different sources into a single API without the use of middleware.

The company allows businesses to access a single API through their preferred front end, enabling a wide range of use cases, from corporate intranets to new financial services products.

Content federation allows businesses to build complex applications while streamlining all their data from a single source of truth. According to GraphCMS, content federation companies can get their products to market 50% faster.

“For example, to build a Netflix-like video-on-demand platform, GraphCMS queries remote sources to enrich all content and delivers consistent data to the front end via a single API. The actual movie is delivered from the production provider via API. The image can be queried from the DAM (Digital Asset Management) solution. Metadata such as subtitles is taken from the corresponding source for rating and Enrichments such as reviews come from services such as IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. Seamless, with a single call to the GraphCMS API, all of these sources and content can be combined and delivered to the viewer within seconds. The digital experience is guaranteed, “the company said in a press release.

80 times growth

The company achieved strong commercial and operational growth in 2021 and achieved 80x revenue growth since its first seed investment in July 2018.

GraphCMS works with a variety of clients across Europe and the United States, including audio product company Shure, global ed-tech platform 2U Inc., multinational telecommunications company Telenor, and two European government agencies.

Michael Lukaszczyk, CEO and co-founder of GraphCMS, said: The best-in-class technology stack provides digital teams with solutions to the daunting problem of siled data integration. This is huge in that it accelerates the product development cycle, saves the company time and money, and enables it to better serve its customers. As data continues to grow in importance and complexity, it promises to be a major driver of the online world.

“OpenOcean’s investment in GraphCMS is the largest initial investment ever in a Series A company,” said Ekaterina Almasque, OpenOcean’s general partner. “GraphCMS is a business prepared to solve the challenges facing the industry today, from the exponential growth of siled data to the increasing complexity of enterprise digital journeys. We are looking for a new approach to provide applications with convenience, the collaborative nature of federated content platforms, and the programmable nature of API gateways. GraphCMS’s groundbreaking approach is the best world of GraphQL and content management systems. Combine to provide customers with a competitive advantage and the opportunity to lead the era of rapid digitalization. ”
