Gorgi Coghlan is finally open about her decision to leave the project 10 years later.

When asked which of her former co-hosts she was in contact with, she said she was on good terms with everyone.

“The week after I decided to leave, Lisa Wilkinson called me directly,” she said.

“Peter Helliar answered the phone worried about what I was doing. I always talk to Wald [Aly]..He and his wife Susan [Carland] Both are very dear friends to me, “she continued.

“I couldn’t catch up because of the blockade, but sometimes it’s just a cheeky text. They’re really nice and decent people.”

Despite being busy at the hotel, Gorgi hasn’t completely given up on the entertainment world and plans to pursue a career as a singer.

“It’s better than broadcasting for me. Singing is my absolute number one. When I sing, I’m just taken to another place in time,” she spouted.

“Singing for me is my biggest thing on my vision board and my biggest thing to talk to my manager.”

Gorgi announced its withdrawal from the project in July.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, but ten years after this great show, I feel it’s time. I love broadcasting and I missed it this year.”

A Victorian-born reporter went on to say that it was always known when it was time to “dive into the unknown” and “discover new adventures.”
