Members of Extinction Rebellion I gave a speech at the town’s leisure center before going to the street.

This was the first in a series of demonstrations held by the group throughout a three-day event in a seaside town.

Members then led the procession through St Ives.

Police officers accompanied the colorful procession through St Ives.

Activists struck a continuous beat with the chanting “act now” and “sound an alarm.”

Several locals came out of the house to see the procession.

Devon and Cornwall police said they were monitoring the situation in a Twitter message and warned locals to anticipate delays in the area, especially in the center of town.

Some demonstrators made a quiet protest, while others gathered on the beaches of the town and made cardboard cutouts of the faces of world leaders.

Olympic sailor Laura Baldwin, 41, also participated in the protest as a member of Ocean Rebellion, an ocean-focused campaign group at Extinction Rebellion.

“I’m here during the summit. I learned about the climate emergency in January 2019 and haven’t been able to focus on anything since then,” she told PA.

“I have absorbed and understood the tragic warnings of world-leading scientist and scholar David Attenborough. I am the mother of my eight-year-old son and there is always a contradiction between their words and their actions. As a result, I am afraid of the future of my children and all of our children.

“I think it’s great to see so many people coming here in a creative way today.”

Ms. Baldwin added that she was more worried about the condition of the planet than any competition she had played as an Olympic athlete.

She said, “I’m an Olympic sailor and the ocean is where my heart is. I love and respect water, so I’m part of Ocean Rebellion.” ..

Extinction Rebellion also protests in Falmouth on Saturday, where they march again in town, and on Sunday there is an art installation in St Ives.

In the past, environmental groups have been able to grab headlines with colorful and often wacky demonstrations, such as gluing to roads and tubes to block transport.

However, many of their protests are very controversial and many are complaining about how to demonstrate them.
