Party hats and costumes such as pirate hats and masks were seen under the Christmas lights.
The video also shows a large costumed crowd dancing and singing to ‘Freed from Desire’ outside the Sloop Inn pub.
But photos from the next morning show empty plastic cups, beer cans and coffee cups spread out on the sand.
“There is no excuse,” an angry local resident commented under the image shared on Facebook.
A local resident wrote on social media: “The problem is most of the people who were there last night don’t live in Cornwall and have no respect for our beautiful town… Please.”

Some local residents claim the town did not provide additional trash cans for partygoers, while others say there is “no excuse.”
Another said there were “trash bins” in town for “lazy and selfish” partygoers.
However, a third resident said the confusion was caused by “no one organizing it” as the town had not provided extra bins for people and “the bins along the front line are usually full by around 8pm”. There is a problem with that,” he complained.
However, a second local resident replied: “Even if the bin is full, you can still stack glass/plastic cups of cans next to the bin or use the bags you bought the cans in.”
“It’s not that hard to leave plastic cups outside pubs and not leave them on the beach. That’s just thoughtless laziness and indifference.”
“Not that I know of.” [that] A full trash can means just leave it where it was sitting on the sand! I won’t make excuses.”
