New Delhi [India]April 1 (ANI). Former Foreign Minister (EAM) Natwar Singh on Friday welcomed the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to India and said that the two countries have good relations.
“Sergey Lavrov is a friend of India. He will inform the Prime Minister and explain Russia’s policy on Ukraine. We have good relations with Russia, we get weapons from there. Russia has said that Kashmir is a part of India to which the United States. “Great Britain and France did not do it,” said Natwar Singh.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in New Delhi on a first high-level visit by the Russian leader to India since Moscow’s war against Ukraine last month. Earlier in the day, Lavrov held talks with his Indian counterpart, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He added that Dalip Singh’s comments on the US National Security Adviser (NSA) on the international economy during his recent visit to India were undesirable.
“His case has not been commented on,” said Natwar Singh, referring to Dalip Singh as saying that India could not expect Russian help in the event of Chinese incursions along the LAC.
“India-China relations are not a concern for the United States. “We make the decisions ourselves,” Natwar Singh added.
Former EAM member Natwar Singh also spoke about Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to India, saying that a visit by China is a good decision.
“Wang Yi was only in India for 18 hours, I do not think he could have had time for an extensive discussion, but it was good that they thought it was worth coming to India, now Delhi has received so many visitors. over the last few days, so we obviously can, ”said Natwar Singh.
There has been a torrent of visits from foreign leaders in New Delhi over the past two weeks. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited India last week. (ANI)
