Five people were killed and others injured when a train derailed in Hungary and overturned after colliding with a truck.
Police say a truck carrying workers was driving on the track in Mindszent on Tuesday where the train had just stopped before 7am.
Due to the force of the accident, the train overturned and crashed to the side, landing on the side of the tracks.
Seven men were apparently traveling in the truck when it was hit by the train – five were killed and two others were taken to hospital with severe head and limb injuries, police said.
In a statement, Hungarian state railways said 22 people were on the train at the time of the collision. Two passengers were seriously injured and eight others were lightly injured.
Csongrad-Csanad province police said it had closed the entire road when the accident was investigated.
