And British fight fans who have been gasping for living blood, sweat and tears can now be on the ringside with a drink.

After checking in at the Fight Hotel yesterday morning, 31-year-old Joshua faced a Covid-19 test and 24-hour quarantine while waiting for results.

He said: “I like it, it will be intimate. It’s great for fans.

“It’s a special opportunity to see a 1,000 heavyweight championship battle, usually with tens of thousands.”

Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that fans have a green light to knock back pints.

He states: “Yes, the concourse has a one-way system.

“You can’t drink standing beer. Take your drink and go back to your seat.

“In the hospitality area, there is also a pre-combat meal, after which you will be seated for combat. Any drinking will be done at your seat.”

Joshua has had his sparring partner beat him in preparation for the long-awaited ring return.

A year ago yesterday, a British heavyweight star jabbed and won a rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr.

It was six months after he was dropped four times and stopped in a shootout as a slack substitute.

Its painful first defeat, and doubts about his chin and durability, were not shattered by Point’s revenge mission.

So when he faces the wise Kubratopref at Wembley Arena on Saturday, there is an urgent need to return to his deadly best.

31-year-old Joshua admits that he has given heavy hands David Adelay, Fabio Wardley, and Hosea Stewart free reins to attack him at Sheffield’s training base.
