And I said, “Yeah, well, that was part of rock’n’roll.” So now they call me Grandma Gangster. That was the 13-year-old who asked. They just have to search on Google, right, so I decided it was better to be honest.

The entrepreneur said being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease – a long-term condition in which the gut becomes inflamed – is a “big wake-up call”.

“I was lucky and very lucky that I’m not an addictive person and when I decided I didn’t want to do it anymore, I managed to leave him. Not many people can do that, and I got sick too, and that was a big wake-up call, “she said.

Joe fled to Las Vegas in 1973 with her first husband, clothing entrepreneur Peter Green. Their eldest son, Jamie, was born a year later, but the marriage ended in 1976. A year later, she met Ronnie.

They married in 1985 and have two children, Leah and Tyrone. She also became the stepmother of Ronnie’s son Jesse from his first marriage. Much of their relationship has been spent on the road with the Stones.

Her marriage to 75-year-old Roni ended in divorce in 2009, when he cheated on her with Ukrainian waitress Ekaterina “Katya” Ivanova. He then married theater producer Sally Humphries, 44, with whom he has four-year-old twin daughters.

Despite their bitter divorce, the two remained close friends, but their friendship did not extend to gifts.

Regarding his ex’s 75th birthday, he said: “I just wished him a happy birthday. He is in Madrid. I don’t buy him anything, and he doesn’t buy anything from me. We don’t worry.

She added of her injury:The actual cast went through last week and that’s when I was put in this shoe.

“I’m still training – I was training my upper body, but this is the driving I miss and getting in the car. I have to call my daughter Leah to go to Waitrose, or if I have to go and place an order. Relying on people is really hard, especially since I’ve always been so independent. I found that this was actually the hardest thing.

Elsewhere in the interview, Joe explained why she had not been vaccinated against Covid.

“No, I’m an organic girl. I had Covid and I felt like I had Covid, so why would I need the vaccine? I’m not an anti-vaccinator, but I don’t think it’s right for me.

“I had antibody tests and my antibodies were really high, so why would I even think about getting vaccinated if I had high antibodies?

“So I decided not to do it. I am not against the vaccine, but because I believe in the immune system – everything for me is related to the alternative lifestyle.

CROWN’S DISEASE EXPLAINS

Crohn’s disease is a long-term condition that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive system.

Inflammation most often occurs in the last part of the small or large intestine, but can affect any part of the digestive system.

Common symptoms may include:

  • diarrhea
  • stomach ache
  • fatigue (extreme fatigue)
  • unwanted weight loss
  • blood and mucus in your stools (stools)

Remission occurs when people with the disease go through long periods without symptoms, but these periods can be followed by an exacerbation of symptoms.

Why it happens

The exact cause of Crohn’s disease is unknown. However, research shows that a combination of factors may be responsible. They include:

genetics – The genes you inherit from your parents may increase your risk of developing Crohn’s disease

This immune system – Inflammation can be caused by a problem with the immune system that causes it to attack healthy bacteria in the gut

previous infection – A previous infection can cause an unusual response from the immune system

smoking – Smokers with Crohn’s disease usually have more severe symptoms than non-smokers

environmental factors – Crohn’s disease is most common in Western countries such as the United Kingdom and least common in poorer parts of the world such as Africa, suggesting that the environment plays a role
