The Spaniards currently have at least six senior players injured, and Mason Holgate and Richarlison have been suspended for a trip to Brentford on Sunday.
Doucoure missed four games due to a broken metatarsal, but Benitez’s resources are slim as he returned to training this week and was able to return to the starting lineup sooner.
“He’s training today, so maybe there’s only one player available. I think Dakure has a chance,” said Everton’s manager.
“If he’s fine, he’s fine because he has a metatarsal injury. It’s not like a muscle problem that we have to be aware of.
“Everything needs to be recovered and the player’s self-confidence needs to be closer to the game.
“In such cases, there is always a risk when returning from an injury, but it is not a big risk.”
Benitez also received better news about Demarai Gray, who was sent off to Manchester City last weekend due to a crotch problem.
“He had a very light training session today, so I’ll see if he can handle it. I may not have much time, but it (injury) was less than I expected.”
Benitez definitely doesn’t have Jerry Mina (hamstring), Dominic Calvert Lewin (thigh), Andre Gomes (calf), and Tom Davies (knee).
