Donald Trump breaks silence over Tesla Cybertruck explosion in front of Las Vegas hotel, vows to rid America of ‘violent scum’

Donald Trump responded to the Cybertruck explosion outside his Las Vegas hotel, labeling the U.S. as a “disaster” with weak leadership. The incident involved Army veteran Matthew Leiblesberger, who allegedly filled a truck with explosives, resulting in one death and seven injuries. Trump criticized the security and judicial systems, attributing the violence to ineffective governance. Hours earlier, a separate attack in New Orleans killed 15 pedestrians. Both vehicles were rented from Turo, raising concerns about potential links. Melania Trump condemned the violence, calling for peace, while authorities confirmed the explosion was likely intentional, with involvement from law enforcement and Tesla.

Donald Trump has broken his silence on the Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside a Las Vegas hotel, vowing to rid the United States of “violent scum.”

Army veteran Matthew Leiblesberger is accused of killing himself and injuring seven people by filling a truck with explosives and fuel and driving it to the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning. Read more at @ https://eminetra.com/

The president-elect took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to criticize the security and judicial establishment.

In his post, he wrote, “Our country is a disaster and a laughingstock all over the world!” This is what happens in open borders with weak, inefficient and virtually non-existent leadership.

“The Department of Justice, the FBI, and Democratic state and local prosecutors are not doing their job. They are incompetent, corrupt, and outside the ranks of the violent scum that pervades every aspect of our government and the nation itself.” And instead of focusing on protecting the American people from within, he has spent every waking moment illegally attacking me, my political opponent.

“Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for allowing something like this to happen to our country. The CIA must get involved now, before it’s too late. America is falling apart. Security, National Security. A violent erosion of security and democracy is occurring across the United States.

“Only strength and strong leadership can stop it. See you on January 20th. Let’s make America great again!”

Just hours earlier, Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, drove his electric car into a crowd in New Orleans, killing 15 pedestrians and injuring dozens more.

Army veteran Matthew Reiblesberger is the man who allegedly loaded the truck with explosives and fuel before driving it to the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas and leaving on Wednesday morning.

Officers shared a series of photos taken from inside the vehicle, revealing fireworks, a gas tank and camping fuel in the bed of the truck.

Law enforcement officials have since revealed that the cars used in both attacks were rented through Turo and both were electric vehicles, raising concerns that the two attacks may be related.

Police said on Wednesday afternoon that they were currently investigating a possible link and had not yet ruled anything out.

“Do you think it’s a coincidence?” I don’t know,” Sheriff Kevin McMahill said. “We are thoroughly investigating the connection to New Orleans.”

Earlier Wednesday, Melania Trump appealed to Mr. X to “work toward a future of peace” in the country following two separate incidents that occurred just hours apart.

The former and future first lady condemned the New Year’s Day violence, saying, “The incidents of violence that have affected our community are deeply disturbing.” The brutality must stop,” Melania wrote.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who are experiencing such deep sadness and loss.”

At a bombshell press conference, officers investigating the incident said the Cybertruck was hired from Touro, Colorado, and crossed the border into Nevada at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. The explosion occurred just an hour later.

Melania Trump did not confirm to X-Post whether the explosion was a terrorist attack as Elon Musk speculated

“The incidents of violence that have affected our community are deeply disturbing. The brutality must stop,” Melania wrote.

A Turo spokesperson later issued a statement saying, “The company is saddened by the acts of violence in New Orleans and Las Vegas, and our prayers go out to the victims and their families.”

“We are actively cooperating with law enforcement investigating both incidents. We believe that both of the tenants involved in the Las Vegas and New Orleans attacks are considered security threats. I don’t think he had any criminal history.”

Officers shared a series of photos taken from inside the vehicle, revealing fireworks, gas tanks and camping fuel in the bed of the truck.

How the explosives detonated is still under investigation, but officials familiar with the investigation say it was likely controlled by the driver.

McMahill said the driver’s body “is still in the truck as we speak today.”

Authorities also believe the driver may have intentionally used Musk’s car to send a message, given Musk’s newfound friendship with President-elect Donald Trump. That’s what I think.

Fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel were found in the bed of the vehicle, likely connected to a driver-controlled detonation system.

On Wednesday, a Cybertruck manufactured by President Trump ally Elon Musk’s company Tesla was seen engulfed in flames outside the revolving doors in front of the Trump International Hotel.

“It’s a Tesla truck, we know that Elon Musk is working with President-elect Trump, and it’s a Trump hotel, so obviously there’s something interesting about it,” he said.

But the driver’s decision to use his Cybertruck to send a message may actually have been a small silver lining in the tragedy. Officials reiterated Musk’s comments earlier today that the Cybertruck’s structure contained explosives.

“The damage was really limited by the fact that this was a Cybertruck,” McMahill said.

“That increased most of the damage, not less. The front glass door of the Trump Hotel didn’t even break from that explosion.”

Hours earlier, Musk had said, “The Cybertruck is the worst choice for a car bomb because its stainless steel armor protects it from detonation better than other commercial vehicles.”

Wednesday’s Cybertruck explosion was “likely an act of terrorism,” Musk said earlier, coming just hours after the New Orleans tragedy that killed 15 people.

At about 8:40 a.m., the $80,000 car burst into flames outside the hotel’s front revolving door, killing one person and injuring seven others.

Large plumes of smoke were seen near a hotel owned by the Trump family. The cause of the explosion is unknown at this time

By Wednesday afternoon, Musk said the explosion was caused by a “bomb in the back of a rented Cybertruck” or by “very large fireworks.”

He said the explosion was not caused by or related to the vehicle itself, and that the unnamed driver was understood to have rented the truck using Turo.

“Law enforcement now believes it was most likely intentional,” he added.

“Both this Cybertruck and the New Orleans F-150 suicide bomb were borrowed from Turo. Maybe they’re connected somehow.”

“Tesla cars continuously communicate their health status,” Musk said, meaning his team was able to see if there were any abnormalities in the car’s mechanics before the explosion. .

Sheriff McMahill thanked Musk for his efforts in assisting with the investigation and providing authorities with data along with access to surveillance cameras from Tesla charging stations across the country.
