She is preparing to attend Strictly The Full Monty to emphasize to young people not to ignore physical changes, so she is still waiting to hear if the treatment was completely successful.

Hi Demi, you have been diagnosed with cancer only this year. Are you doing ok?

I have had two surgeries and radioiodine therapy, so I have been living with cancer for about 6 months. Iodine was about a month ago, so I’m waiting for the results. Hopefully you’ll soon see what’s going on.

And that’s why you decided to do a show?

I’m also doing it for my stepfather suffering from stage 4 melanoma cancer.

When I found a lump on his neck, I told him about it, and he found a lump on his neck. He was first diagnosed, but they told me there was nothing to worry about.

You are so young, did you think it was something that couldn’t happen to you?

absolutely. When I was diagnosed, I remember sitting in a room with an elderly person and thinking: I’m 23 years old. Why am I having this wonderful experience at Love Island? “

I was really angry about it. But I hope that no matter how old you are or how much you do in your life, you can raise awareness among young people to check their lumps. I’m out.

Actually, I think many people are scared. They avoid going to the doctor, even if it is behind their hearts. I did it a lot. Or you feel like you’re wasting their time.

Have you been diagnosed earlier?

It may have been so. Unfortunately, the NHS has such a burden. I had no symptoms other than a lump, but I knew I was feeling sick.

At that point I thought I couldn’t wait anymore and I studied to be private, strangely when I heard from the NHS. However, I had been rebooking and canceling from September to March, so I may have been diagnosed last September.

Did the treatment affect your energy level?

Oh definitely. I’m always tired because the thyroid gland controls all your hormones and your energy. When I had my first surgery, my mom was very worried because she slept all day every day.

But they increased my dose of levothyroxine [a man-made version of the Thyroid hormone] It gave me a little more energy. So I’m catching up with it.

And how do you find the show?

Well i Teddy Soares [from 2021 Love Island] As an amateur, I had no experience in dancing. So we have tried to learn from each other. But just seeing Ashley Banjo trying to do it is a lot of pressure.
