As a woman in her fifties, television host Davina McCall faces criticism of her bold tailoring style.
However, TV moderators say that by being in the “second spring” of life after reaching a half-century landmark, she will be dressed flashy.
Ms. McCall broke out last year after appearing on the screen with many bold designs, including the creation of latex that adheres to red skin.

The three mothers, who were the hosts of the Channel 4 reality series Big Brother, argued to critics: And now I really don’t care. I just want to live my life.
“As you get older, I meet more and more men and women in their 50s. I call it the second spring. We have this kind of second spring. But now I don’t really care – and it’s very liberating.
“Every year goes by, and with every experience you experience, you begin to become less and less concerned.”
Ms. McCall, now 54, is the latest female television star accused of wearing dangerous clothing during her presentation. Holly Willoughby, 40, gathered 300 Ofcom comments last year while wearing a low-cut peach dress hosting the Dancing on Ice. And in September 2020, Amanda Holden, who turned 50 in February last year, filed 235 complaints when she wore a plunging black dress to Britain’s Got Talent.
McCall, who broke up with her 17-year-old husband Matthew Robertson in 2017 and is now dating cosmetologist Michael Douglas, is outspoken about her tough athletic regime thanks to her enviable 6-pack. She participates not only in running, boxing and yoga, but also in deep sea running. She is jogging in water that is too deep to enter.
