David and Victoria Beckham have taken £8.1million in dividends in 2020 as his business empire weathered the pandemic headwinds.
The latest results show that the star’s company, David Beckham Ventures, which manages his global brand, paid out the sum after reporting profit for the year of £10.6million, up from £9million in 2019 after it had signed several multi-million pound sponsorship deals.
The sponsorships include deals with the computer games group Electronic Arts, Adidas and the gym chain F45.

The gain was boosted by another of Beckham’s businesses, Seven Global, which manages deals with perfume brand Coty and Italian eyewear maker Safilo.
The £8.1m payout was lower than last year’s £14.5m.
The Beckhams aren’t the only celebrities raking in sizable dividends despite the pandemic.
It was revealed this week that celebrity chef Jamie Oliver received around £5.6million from his media and restaurant empire last year, despite profits from two of his companies falling to £9million from £11.8million.
