North Cliffs discovered BODY near where the G7 Summit is currently taking place.
The search this morning involved St Ives RNLI, Coast Guard rescue workers, and rescue helicopters.
There is nothing to suggest that the findings are related to the summit.
Death is treated as unexplained and is not suspicious. Cornwall live I will report.
A spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: “Today (June 11th) at around 11:15 am, the Devon and Cornwall police in the North Cliff area requested the support of the HM Coast Guard.
“The Portreath Coast Guard rescue team and the St. Ives RNLI lifeboat were sent along with a search and rescue helicopter from New Key.”
Devon and Cornwall police In a statement, “Police appeared in an area near Bassett Cove in Cornwall after the body was found around 11:30 am.
“Coast Guard and RNLI colleagues also assisted police on the scene.
“Police are currently treating death as unexplained, but it is believed that there are no suspicious situations.”
