Coronavirus (Covid-19) Infection Survey – Antibody Data for Northern Ireland

The Department of Health today released a report on COVID-19 Infection Screening (CIS) antibody data. The findings in this report relate to estimates for the week beginning March 28, 2022.

Key findings:

  • In Northern Ireland, for the week beginning March 28, 2022, it is estimated that 99.2% of the adult population (95% confidence interval, 98.7% to 99.6%) would test positive for SARS-CoV-2 in a blood test for antibodies. Above the threshold of 179 ng / ml. This threshold is higher than our previously reported standard threshold of 42 ng / ml և will provide the earliest signs of any change in antibody levels.
  • 2022 During the week of 28 March, the percentage of adults who tested positive for antibodies above 179 ng / ml remained high in all age groups in Northern Ireland.
  • The percentage of children in the United Kingdom who are estimated to have antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 above the 179 ng / ml threshold has ranged from 95.3% to 97.6% for 12- to 15-year-olds. From 83.7% to 85.9% for them. 8 to 11 years old during the week of March 28, 2022.
