Boris Johnson’s deputy whip has resigned from the government on charges of confusion, Sky News reports.
Chris Pincher, 52, said he drank “too much” and “embarrassed me and other people” at night.
“I apologize to those of you who are concerned,” he added in a letter to the prime minister.
Mr Pincher “touched two men in front of each other in front of others” at the Carlton Club in central St. James, London, a government source told Sky News.
The source adds that one of the pockets is a deputy, and the second can also be a deputy.
Labor Party Vice President Angela Rainer said Mr Johnson had “serious questions to answer” as to why Mr Pincher was “given that role first (as a deputy leader whip) – how he could remain a Conservative MP”.
His departure comes less than a week after former Tory President Oliver Dauden withdrew due to defeats in two by-elections.
This is the second time Mr. Pincher has left the whipping office.
In November 2017, Downing Street said he had said “He voluntarily applied to both the party’s complaints procedure and the police.”.
The Mail on Sunday reports that Mr Pincher has been accused of making an unwanted transfer to Conservative activist and former British rower Alex Story.
Mr. Pincher told the newspaper. “If Mr. Story has ever been offended by what I said, I can only apologize to him.”
The following year, Theresa May reappointed her to the whipping office.
In his letter to Boris Johnson, the Conservative MP Tamworth wrote: “I drank too much last night.
“I’m ashamed of myself և other people, which is the last thing I want to do, I’m sorry for that ներից concerned.
“I think that in the current situation it is right for me to resign from the post of deputy head.
“I owe it to you, the people I have offended.”
“I want to assure you that you will continue to have my full support from the benches. I wish you all the best when it comes to COVID aftershocks and international inflation challenges.
“It is the honor of my life to serve in His Majesty’s Government.”
Ms Rainer said the resignation showed “how much the standards of public life have been degraded by Boris Johnson”.
He added. “The Conservative Party is so caught up in the joy-scandal that it is absolutely incapable of overcoming the challenges facing the British.”
Mr. Johnson was was fined by the Metropolitan Police for violating the rules of blocking.
In May, Neil Parish resigned as Conservative MP admitting that he had watched pornography in the House of Commons.
Chris Pincher has been a Member of Parliament since the 2010 general election when the Conservatives formed a coalition with the Liberal Democrats.
Prior to his last spell at the Whip Office, he was Minister of State Եվրոպայի America Եվրոպայի Secretary of State for Housing in Europe.
He writes a column for alcohol for The Critic magazine. Recently, one was titled: “Fall into the gin trap.”
The Thorins are not the only party currently facing staggering allegations.
Earlier this month, it turned out that SNP MP Patrick Grady was there threatens to be expelled from the House of Commons after the parliamentary investigation confirmed the accusation of sexual harassment.
An independent panel advised Mr. Grady to be removed from the chamber for two days for “unwanted sexual assault” with a party staff member during a social work event at a tavern in 2016.
Mr. Grady was also instructed to apologize publicly in the House, to apologize to the complainant.
SNP leader Ian Blackford clashed in Westminster calls for resignation on the same issue.
