Hello Christine. Your connection to this show is said to be very personal …
I had four cancer aunts – one of them sadly died and three are doing great things. Then my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. We couldn’t be there for her because it was aggressive and in the middle of a pandemic. I couldn’t hug my mother when she was receiving chemotherapy. It tore us and broke our hearts.
Are you near your mom?
There is only a mother. We really have a really special bond because she is the only grandparent of my three children. I don’t think I’m going to get over what I can’t be there for her when she’s had the most difficult times of her life. So this is a little thankful to her. She’s doing great things, but it’s still in the early stages.
Will she attend the show to support you?
I really want her to be, but at that moment I don’t know. Her chair is waiting. She had a bone injection the day before and we don’t know what will happen to her. But my mother was the strongest and most independent woman, and she was laughing all the time through this. That’s one of the things I can do with her-I picked up the phone and laughed.
How did you and other celebrities get along as a group?
We are lucky to each other. I’m really lonely, so I’ve never been with a group of people. I’ve been a housewife for years and was a pretty recluse in my twenties. My days were full of waiting for my husband to come back. I wanted to do a little more when I was in my thirties. I did a little about Chesher’s real housewife. I’ve been on it for two years, but I couldn’t get the bond I got here.
So did you all support each other?
We all share our story and have the little things we are worried about: dance and appearance. But in reality, we all realize that it doesn’t matter. This time we need to enjoy it. We are here now and are lucky people. We are laughing every day. And cry!
Did you want to do more TV?
I change my mind every day. When it’s working, I think, “Oh, this is amazing.” I feel like my eyes have opened to this new world. My husband has been in the entertainment world for 20 years and I wasn’t part of it, and now I like “Wow, he’s been doing this all the time and I was sitting at home” is.
Please tell me the secret of the participants.
I’ve seen the bottom of Colin Jackson and it’s very pink!
