Chris Brown has been accused of drugging and raping a woman on a Florida yacht.
The civil suit was filed by a musician, dancer and choreographer identified only as Jane Doe, who is suing the Grammy-winning singer for $ 20 million (£ 15 million) in damages.
She says she was invited by Brown to meet him on Star Island in Miami, well known as P Diddy, home of Sean Combs, in December 2020.
Filing said she boarded the yacht, accepted Brown’s drink offer, and they discussed her career when she arrived.
However, after the second drink, the woman suddenly became confused and began to become physically unstable.
According to the proceedings, Brown then dragged her into the bedroom, undressed, and had sex with her without her consent, she said.
Brown posted on Instagram: “Whenever I release music or a project,’they’ try to pull a real bull ** t.”
His post contained a blue cap emoji used as a slang term to indicate that someone was lying.
In her case, the woman said Brown called her the next day and told her to take emergency contraceptives.
She is said to have seen Brown twice after the encounter.
The complaint says he became “angry” at one of those meetings when she declined the invitation to his bedroom.
In a lawsuit filed in the Los Angeles Criminal Court, the woman “experienced dramatic mood swings, loss of appetite, panic attacks, and self-harm.”
She is seeking a jury trial.
