London, April 18 (Xinhua)-The funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh was held in Windsor on Saturday, in line with the British government’s coronavirus regulations.
Britain was silent for a minute before Prince Philip’s funeral, which began at 15:00 BST (1400 GMT) at the St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, about 35 kilometers from central London.
Prince Phillip died last Friday at the age of 99. He was born on June 10, 1921 on the island of Corfu, Greece. He married Princess Elizabeth in 1947, five years before she became Queen, and was the longest royal spouse in British history.
