Georges Rossi, a favorite of Bill’s fans, died sadly at the age of 61.
The Scottish actor was best known for his work as the adorable sober detective Duncan Lennox in many years of police dramas.
After the legacy of the television work, the star died on Wednesday, January 5, after his niece Luisa Rossi confirmed the news.
“Unfortunately, George Rossi, who played DC Duncan Lennox, died on Wednesday morning, January 5, 2022,” she told social media.

Louisa also confirmed that George was still in action “until recently”.
Bill’s favorite first appeared in the crime series in 1998, before saying goodbye to his character in 2003.
George was married to his wife, Catrin Rossi, for more than 30 years after tying the knot in 1988.
The couple shared two children-Santino and Matilda.
Fans were overwhelmed by the loss of Bill’s classic, and many expressed condolences to the star’s family and friends.
Casting director Claire Toeman also paid tribute to the actor, who called him one of his “closest” friends.
“George Rossi sleeps peacefully, you were the loved one of a friend you would truly miss,” shared industry experts.
“He will always be memorable for painting one of Bill’s most popular faces in the late 90’s.
She added that it didn’t take long for DC Lennox to become a “firm favorite among fans.”
One fan posted: “I’m very sad just watching the episode of the bill he’s in when I’m reading this RIP Mr. Rossi.”
