Banks SMM payment firm SimplyPayMe funding £ 3m

Global payment firm SimplyPayMe, led by angel investor Tom Brudenell-Bruce, has received funding of almost $ 4m (£ 3m).

London-based SimplyPayMe will use the funding to “take advantage of current and new opportunities in Europe and North America”.

SimplyPayMe provides retailers with technology to process personal card payments using a smartphone scanner, as well as a payment app to send invoices via text.

It also provides options for companies to accept online payments and payments over the phone.

SimplyPayMe offers its product through partnerships with Paysafe in the US and DNA Payments in the UK. It generates revenue by charging transaction fees.

SimplyPayMe Chief Executive Kent Vorland said: “2021 was a strong year for SimplyPayMe and we have already made progress in 2022 with new and important partnerships, and with the continued support of our shareholders, we look forward to diversification. the services / tools we provide to our customers. ”

SimplyPayMe was founded in 2012. Its round of funding comes after a worrying year of fintech investment in the UK, with companies rising $ 11.6bn in capital.
