FIRST LOOK: A meek boy bully encounters a terrifying fate in the hands of a supernatural creature in a teaser clip from Guillermo del Toro’s horror movie Antlers.


On Friday, the first look clip of the next supernatural horror movie Antlers was shared on Searchlight Pictures’ official YouTube account.

In the video, a boy named Lucas Weaver, played by Jeremy T. Thomas, faces a bully played by Cody Davis, who ends in a terrifying end with the hands of a horned creature.

The next film features Guillermo del Toro as one of its executive producers and is currently scheduled for public release later this month.

The clip ends with the boy stopping at a partially disassembled fence and looking back to witness the genocide.

Antlers development was first reported in 2018 when it was announced that Del Toro had signed on as one of the film’s executive producers.

The film follows Oregon teachers and sheriffs worried that the boy is hiding supernatural secrets at home.

Scott Cooper’s feature is also based on Nick Cantosa’s short story “The Quiet Boy,” who was one of the screenwriters.

Keri Russell’s involvement in the project was first reported in 2018, after which she signed on to star in the film.

Also set to appear in the next feature are performers such as Rory Cochrane, Amy Madigan and Scott Haze.

The film’s main filming, primarily in Vancouver, Canada, began in the fall of 2018 and ended in the same November.

Antlers was originally scheduled to be released in April last year, but its debut was delayed due to a pandemic.

It was then given a new date of February 19, 2021 and then pushed back a second time.

The next flick will make a wide debut on October 29th.

Antlers have generally received positive reviews from critics and currently have an 80% fresh rating. Rotten tomatoes..

Many reviewers have pointed out one of the strengths of this feature as a combination of real horror and character-driven moments.
