Anne Rice: Interview with the Vampire Author Died at Age 80 | US News

Anne Rice, the author of the best-selling novel Interview With The Vampire, died at the age of 80.

A Gothic novelist died of complications from a stroke, her son Christopher announced on her Facebook page and his Twitter page.

“For her last few hours, I sat next to her hospital bed in awe of her achievements and courage,” he wrote in a statement.

Rice was best known in the 1976 novel Interview With The Vampire and was featured in the movie starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in 1994.

She adapted the script of the novel.

The book was also expected to become an AMC and AMC + television series in 2022.

According to the statement, Ms. Rice was expected to be buried on a private day during a private ceremony at the mausoleum of the New Orleans family where she was born.

He also said that a public celebration of her life will be held next year.
