American actress Ann Hatch has been seriously injured after her car crashed into a house in Los Angeles and burst into flames.
According to NBCLA, the driver was speeding down a residential street — and the blue Mini Cooper went 30 feet into a two-story home in Mar Vista.
According to local media reports, the 53-year-old man suffered severe burns.
Officers believe the car likely hit a curb and was 2 feet off the ground when it crashed into the front of the property.
Footage obtained by TMZ shows Heche driving the same vehicle, which was later pictured badly damaged at the scene.
The crash caused a large fire in the property and took 65 minutes for 59 firefighters to “reach, contain and completely extinguish the stubborn flames in the heavily damaged structure.”
A woman was found inside the car and taken to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. While the building is now “uninhabitable,” the homeowner is unharmed.
One neighbor told NBCLA, “There was tons of smoke in the house. I think they used the crane to move the car to get the driver out. It was crazy.”
Heche is known for her roles in films including Psycho, Donnie Brasco and Cedar Rapids – and previously dated Ellen DeGeneres between 1997 and 2000.
