Chelsea took a big step towards the Top 4 finish with a spectacular 1-0 victory in Liverpool.
There was a good performance across the blues pitch tonight.
But who was the choice of Merseyside bunch?
Here, Simon Phillips is his Chelsea Player evaluation …
Edouard Mendy-7/ Ten
He played a surprisingly quiet game because Liverpool had a hard time creating it, but he did what he needed and swept well behind him.
With a solid performance from the skipper he was still reliable behind him.
Not only did he seem to take part in the attack from a depth, but also some great touches in advanced positions.

Very comfortable again in the center of Chelsea defense and very competent against the ball.
He played with great confidence and stopped the danger to Bruce’s defense.
Rudiger was spraying a beautiful long pass in every match and seemed a real threat in his vision from the depths.
His pace also helped Sarah.
He sometimes looked rusty in the first half and made some small errors that could cause problems.
He certainly grew up a little more and relaxed in the second half.
Some people are good at trying to take advantage of Werner’s pace behind the High Line behind Liverpool and going through the path from him from above.
It worked very well with the singing and the pair complemented each other well.
As always, Kante was doing what Kante was best at, everywhere, taking care of every Liverpool player trying to move forward with the ball.
He also assisted Mount’s goal with a smart long pass.
There are a few decent paths from the left that can be a threat. Like Rudiger, today’s attacks and defenses required his pace very much.
After some poor forms these days, the display from him has improved significantly.
Another Chelsea game, another great Mason Mount performance.
He scored a goal in the first half of Chelsea and scored 1-0, again threatening the biggest attack for them.
He tried to create with his vision, so it’s certainly an improvement over the last match.
He wasn’t as rusty as his last outing and was a decent threat to the attack on Chelsea.
He was fully used today by Thomas Tuchel and later scored a goal that was not allowed offside.
His pace was really annoying for Liverpool playing high on the pitch. Chelsea is always trying to get him in.
But he still feels he should have won one of his chances.
Christian Pulisic (Ziyech, 66 years old) -6
When he became honest, he was a little less intense, but a threat to the attack.
Mateo Kovacic (for mount, 80)-N / A
Kai Havertz (Werner, 90 years old)-Not applicable
