“Indomitable” fashion designers and journalists on Tuesday new York, His representative of TAAPR said in a statement.

“It’s very sad to announce that our dear friend and client, the indomitable Andre Leon Talley, died in New York on January 18, 2022,” said TAAPR.
“Mr. Tally was a bigger and longer creative director at Vogue before establishing himself as a fashion bible in the world.
“For the past 50 years as an international icon, I have been familiar with Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld and Paloma Picasso. He liked to discover, train and celebrate young designers.”
As a fashion journalist, he worked for Women’s Wear Daily and Vogue and was a regular at the front row of fashion shows in New York and Europe.
His signature article has been published in other publications such as Vanity Fair, HG, Interview, and was the editor of Numero Russia.
“The power of nature”
The 6’7 inch tall Tally was in many ways bigger than the real person, both in the catwalk and behind the scenes of the fashion world, who campaigned for diversity.
He has worked with Vogue editor Anna Wintour for many years and was also a judge for America’s Next Top Model.
Actress and supermodel Milla Jovovich lamented the loss of “natural power” in her tribute and said she felt “lucky” to meet him many times during her career.
“Andre Leon Talley was a very nice artist, but he was also one of the most really nice people I have ever met,” she said.
Belgian designer Diane von Furstenberg said no one was “magnificent and soulful.”
She shared his photo and wrote:
“The world won’t be that much fun. I loved you and laughed with you for 45 years … I miss your big scream … I love you very much.”
“The afterlife will be too great now.”
Arianne Phillips, an American costume designer known for movies such as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, said Tally was “greater than the icon of life.”
She wrote on Instagram:
“Always very kind and entertaining, his contribution to fashion and culture is for history books.”
American actresses Kerry Washington, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer have also posted online tributes to Tally.
