Alicia Keys reveals that Queen “personally asked for every song” she performed on Platinum Jubilee

Alicia Keys revealed a great backstage secret from his participation in of the queen Palace party.

The 41-year-old American singer was invited to participate in the platinum anniversary of the queenjoining a number of other top musicians who played for the monarch at Buckingham Palace.

But the singer dropped a huge bomb, confirming that the queen herself chose the entire setlist she performed, including Alicia and Jay-Z A 2009 hit song, Empire State of Mind.

She shared a montage from her time at the palace on Instagram, writing: “Epic anniversary night !! Celebration of the queen and all the queens !!!!!

Alicia added the lyrics to her song Girl On Fire: “She has her feet on the ground and she’s burning her!”

But then she shared the information behind the scenes with her followers, writing: “FYI: Each song was requested personally by the Queen. Even EMPIRE !! Big lovvveeee !!!!!”

In some of the shots, Alicia can be seen riding in a golf cart with her two sons, Egypt, at 11, and Genesis, at seven.

In the video, she said: “I tell the boys that the queen has asked for the songs she sings. And they said, “You can’t refuse the queen!”

Then Egypt says, “You can’t deny the queen – it’s against the law in Europe!”

In other videos, Egypt can also be seen conducting the orchestra of 70 people, which accompanied the artists at the concert.

Alicia’s fans were as excited as she was at the unveiling, writing: “The fact that the Queen asked for Empire is epic!”

Another said: “Congratulations !! You are amazing and so inspiring”

While a third added: “You killed him on Saturday night. My 10-year-old niece and I were in the crowd and thought you were amazing. A night she will never forget.”

The event was full of amazing musiciansfrom Queen and Adam Lambertof the British Eurovision hero Sam Ryder, of the German composer Hans Zimmer, of Andrea Bocelli.

A number of stars from the stage and the screen also appeared at the party, incl Sir David Attenborough, David Beckham, Stephen Fryand even a special performance by the Paddington bear.

The sketch, which remained a secret even from the rest of the royal family, prompted the record-breaking monarch to meet with one of the UK’s most valuable bears for a tea pot and marmalade sandwich to officially open the concert.

The video, which came as a big surprise to people across the country, caused a lot of laughter from the royalty themselves, with Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Georgeand Princess Charlotte everyone noticed laughing at the sketch.
