Disastrous footage shows Abdul being shot in the Hillfields area Coventry During the daytime execution of the gang grand at 2:30 pm on March 13, last year.

He suffered two gunshot wounds after being shot from the backseat of a stolen VW Golf and died of a catastrophic internal injury on the street.

Monga was found guilty of a murder plot and was imprisoned for a minimum of 27 years in the Crown Court of Birmingham in January.

Fifteen-year-old accomplice Rias Ahmed, who had the face of his baby driving a car, was named when he was sentenced to life imprisonment at the same time.

However, due to an unsolved crime against Monga, the judge imposed an identification ban on the shooters.

He was convicted of a robbery plot last Friday, and the judge lifted the order, which meant he could name and take pictures for the first time.

The court heard that Monga and Ahmed, associated with the Coventry C2 gang, colluded to kill Abdul, associated with a rival gang known as the RB7.

Video footage shows Ahmed stopping the car yard from Abdul so that Monga can shoot the victim through the passenger seat window.

The clip shows three puffs of white smoke coming out of the weapon.

Escape driver Ahmed chased the horrified victim around Adelaide Street (just a few meters from the nursery), and the shooters fired again.

He hurried away from the Golf Type R murder scene stolen in Warwickshire rugby the day before.

The schoolboy later arranged for others to set fire to destroy the forensic evidence.

The two were arrested early the next morning after police attacked Coventry’s home address.

Both were electronically tagged at the time because they were suspected of being involved in other crimes. The tagging information indicated that he was on the street at the time of the murder.

Shotgun cartridges found in burned-out cars were also matched by ballistics experts with used cartridges recovered from the murder scene.

Conspiracy to murder

Despite strong evidence against them, the two denied the murder, but were found guilty of a murder plot after a four-week trial.

Monga was sentenced to 24 and 36 months of additional imprisonment for the plot of the Coventry robbery. This is done at the same time as life imprisonment.

Detective Scott Griffiths of the West Midlands Police said:

“It is important to show that justice is being offered to Mr. Zasan’s family, friends, and more.

“These sentences should act as a harsh warning about the dangers of gang affiliation. They can trap you at risk of serious injury or death, or much of your life.

“There must be better options for young people. We can help those who want to turn their backs on gang culture.

“With partners, including charities and support groups, we can help young people make better choices.

“But for those who claim to belong to a gang, they are very likely to be seriously injured, killed, or spend much of their lives in prison,” he said.
