During the construction work on site, a corpse that was said to be badly decomposed was discovered.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department said the building next to the Forest Gate police station had been abandoned for years.

Police said more tests would be conducted to find out more about the mysterious death and an autopsy would take place on Tuesday.

The building is currently covered with scaffolding, and the photo shows 12 forensic medicines that combine scenes into the premises.

Forensic tents can also be found outside the abandoned pubs in residential areas.

The cordon is located outside the building and police officers stay on the scene.

Since 2016, three plan applications have been rejected on the site, the last two suggesting keeping the pub open in the apartment above.

The pub was originally known as the Freemason’s Arms, but was reopened as the Simpsons in the 1980s and early 2000s.

Before it was closed, it was recently a nightclub named Larna.
