A man was shot in the chest after a fight in a pub on Merseyside on the first day of resumption.
Armed police attacked Highton’s Old Bank pub after being reportedly shot inside the building following a quarrel.
A man in his twenties was found nearby with a chest injury and was taken to the hospital after an incident at Princess Drive at around 8:20 pm.
Evidence was found confirming that the bullet was fired and police taped the pub.
It comes as The British blew £ 2.8m / min on Mad Monday Pubs and restaurants have opened indoors and other Covid rules have been lifted.
Home-to-home forensic and CCTV investigations are underway, and police officers will carry out additional patrols to provide peace of mind and gather information.
Steve Hardy, Chief Inspector of the Merseyside Police, said:
“Shots fired in public places will, of course, shock the community and others.
“We believe that people inside or near the place have seen or heard something and want to talk to all of them as soon as possible.
“We take action regardless of whether there is a stakeholder explanation, we saw someone running away, or we have a CCTV, dashcam, or other footage.
“Such cases have declined significantly in recent months, and the key to seizing weapons and bringing people to court is the information held in the affected areas.
