When David Knight was fined for driving the bus lane in Bath, he soon learned that he had made a mistake.

After all, the builder wasn’t near the city of Spa – and he lives in Dorking, Surrey, 120 miles away.

But when he and his wife, Paula, scrutinized the “evidence” in the photo, they had seams left.

After much entertainment, the bookkeeper, Mrs. Knight, contacted the Bus and Somerset Council and warned authorities of their mistakes.

Fortunately, they looked interesting and agreed to cancel the £ 90 fine last week.

Yesterday, two mothers, also 54 years old, Mrs. Knight, said the council’s call handler “laughed” when she warned her of an error.

“Because I didn’t pay within 30 days, the fine had already risen from £ 60 to £ 90,” she said.

“Obviously no one had seen the picture and it was computer-generated.”

Mr Knight said:’We are laughing a lot about it. I wasn’t going to pay for a woman walking in the bus lane wearing a funny T-shirt! “
