A young dad was killed in an attack outside a village pub-a few weeks before his baby gave birth.
Kiron Curtis, 21, was excited to become a father before suffering a fatal sting in Penywaun, South Wales.
Police were asked to report a quarrel outside the Colliers Arms pub after 1 am on Sunday, October 17.
Originally from Cwmdare, Curtis was taken to the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff and later died.
He lived just a mile away from the pub.
A 24-year-old man from Penywaun was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently detained by police.
A family spokesman said. “He was going to be a father in a few weeks and would have been a great dad.
“He will be terribly missed by all his family and friends.”
In a statement in honor of Mr. Curtis, his family said: He was loved by all of us and always prioritized others over himself. “
A police statement said: “Avadia, a 24-year-old man from Pen Aun, was arrested on murder charges and is currently detained by police.
“The personnel investigating the case currently being treated as a murder are those who may have taken footage or photos of the case on their mobile phones, or who may have had a dashcam footage from that time. I would like to hear your opinion. “
An inquest will be held.
