Novelist Neil Gaiman’s ex-wife says she is “deeply disturbed” by allegations that he sexually assaulted multiple young women during their marriage.
Amanda Palmer, 49, has been accused by a number of victims of knowing that her husband, a British writer, had an abusive sexual relationship with them during their 11 years together.
Palmer, who was married to Gaiman from 2011 to 2022, has not yet spoken publicly about the specific allegations against her ex-husband.
However, her representative issued a statement saying, “While Ms. Palmer is deeply disturbed by the allegations that Mr. Gaiman has abused multiple women, her primary concern at this time is the well-being of her son.” So it’s about protecting my son’s health, and I have to do that.” To protect her privacy, she has not commented on these allegations. ”
Mr. Gaiman, 64, the award-winning author of “Coraline” and “Stardust,” has strongly denied any wrongdoing.
In a statement posted on his website, he admitted to being “insensitive to people’s hearts and feelings” but insisted all sexual encounters were consensual.

The accusations include disturbing allegations of a forced sexual relationship, with Gaiman allegedly acting as a “master” and his partner as a “slave.”
Rock star Amanda Palmer faces questions about how much she knew about ex-husband Neil Gaiman’s sexual abuse of women, an accusation he vehemently denies.
Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palme (pictured at the world premiere of the Amazon series Good Omens in London in May 2019) announced their split in November 2022.
One of the alleged victims, identified as Rachel, claimed to have been Palmer’s girlfriend before Gaiman “handed her to him like a toy.”
Another woman, Scarlett Pavlovich, accused Gaiman of rape and sexual abuse after she was hired by Palmer as a babysitter.
Pavlovic, now a student at the University of St Andrews, told Palmer about the rape and that she was still having sex with Gaiman, but Palmer didn’t seem surprised. “Fourteen women came to me about this,” he reportedly replied. ‘
The former babysitter also claims she filed a police report against Gaiman in 2023, but said Palmer refused to cooperate with the investigation.
Pavlovic alleged that on February 4, 2022, Gaiman raped her in an outdoor bathtub while she was nannying for her son with Palmer.
The student said the author encouraged him to take a bath after dinner, despite his resistance.
She claimed that after she took off her clothes and climbed in, Gaiman also stripped naked and joined in. Pavlovich said he told her to stretch while in the bathtub.
“I said, ‘No.’ I said, “I’m not confident in my body,” Pavlovich said. ‘[Gaiman] “It’s okay, it’s just me. Just relax and have a little chat.”
But Pavlovic said the situation escalated and Gaiman sexually assaulted her.
Gaiman continues to deny any wrongdoing amid the allegations.
Continuing in a statement on his website, he wrote: “For the past many months, I have watched with horror and dismay the stories that have been circulating about me on the internet.
“I have remained silent until now out of respect for the people who have shared their stories and because I do not want to draw further attention to so much misinformation.

“I have always tried to be a private person, but increasingly I feel that social media is the wrong place to talk about matters of personal importance.
“I’ve now reached a point where I feel like I have to say something,” Gaiman explained.
Reading testimony about his relationship with his accusers, he said, “There are moments where I’m half aware and moments where I’m not, and the explanation of what happened is clearly not happening.” I discovered that it was next to the

The author also said he went back and read the messages he shared with the woman who accused him of sexual assault.
“These messages are written as they are today as they were when I received them: two people enjoying a completely consensual sexual relationship and hoping to meet again.” he said.
“When I was in a relationship like that, they both seemed positive and happy.
“And then, years later, when I read them back, I realized that I could and should have done better,” the Coraline writer admitted.
“While sexually available, I was emotionally unavailable, self-centered, and not as thoughtful as I could or should have been.
“I was obviously careless about people’s hearts and feelings, and I truly and deeply regret that. It was selfish of me.

“Like most of us, I’m trying to learn and do the work that needs to be done, but I know it’s not an overnight process.
“With the help of good people, I hope to continue to grow.

Still, he insisted, “I don’t accept that there was any abuse.”
“To reiterate, I have never had non-consensual sex with anyone.”
“Some of the horror stories being told today never happened, and others distort what actually happened so much that they have no relation to reality,” he claimed.
