Pierce, 60, who played Meghan’s father on the Netflix lawyer drama, currently has a standout role as Lt. Charles Wallace Wagner on the Chicago-based CBS police drama Elsbeth.
In the next episode, “Unalive and Well,” scheduled to air on January 30th, Wagner instructs Elsbeth to investigate a murder.
In a humorous nod to his former co-star, he explains: “In the meantime, I need you on a case.” A young man named Cole Campbell is found dead on a highway. His car ran off the road.
