Sunday’s launch of Dancing On Ice saw the first six couples take to the rink for the first time, with Sam Aston, Ferne McCann, Anton and Chris Taylor, Chelsea Healy and Michaela Strachan all joining the audience. They competed to impress.
Michaela topped the leaderboard on the night with 30.5 points, while Chelsea finished last with just 22 points.
No couples were eliminated, but a voting line was opened for viewers to vote for their favorite pair.
Next week, once the remaining five couples have danced, all viewer votes and judges’ scores will be added up and the couple with the lowest number will be eliminated from the competition and there will be no skate-off.
This comes after Kate shared a heartwarming photo of the couple together, marking eight years since she met husband Rio.
Kate and the former soccer player met through mutual friends while on holiday in Dubai in 2016.
The couple returned to the UAE in 2025 and Kate shared cozy snaps of them enjoying a night out.
Along with the post, she wrote, “Rio and I met 8 years ago yesterday.”
Rio and Kate confessed that they were “very nervous” to watch Anton skate for the first time, as they had watched footage of him learning acting during his training.
