A devastating fire in Pacific Palisades, Southern California, has forced over 30,000 residents, including several celebrities, to evacuate, often with little more than their pets. Many evacuated residents sought refuge in luxury hotels in Beverly Hills priced at $700 a night, including the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Four Seasons, which quickly filled up. Residents reported a chaotic scene with pets and luxury luggage in tow. Celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Jamie Lee Curtis expressed concern for their homes, amid reports of significant property losses, including that of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, whose house was destroyed.
A fire in Southern California’s extremely affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood has left people literally running for their lives.
More than 30,000 people have been evacuated, often with only small pets and a shirt on their backs.
And DailyMail.com has learned that many of the fugitive ultra-rich are flocking to luxury hotels near Beverly Hills that cost $700 a night.
Several top hotels such as the Beverly Hills Hotel, Four Seasons Beverly Hills, Peninsula Hotel, and Waldorf Astoria are all sold out.
Sources told DailyMail.com that he scrambled to secure luxury accommodation after being forced to leave his $7 million home in the Palisades.
“I evacuated early and called the Hilton right away. There were only about two rooms left. I feel lucky to be able to get in,” said Lisa Ann, a longtime Palisades resident.

Selena Gomez attended the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills on December 4th. She does not own a home in a fire zone.
“It sold out so quickly that people went to Hotels.com as soon as they started smelling smoke,” said an alarmed PP resident.
She also said the hotel was full.
“There are people bringing Gucci luggage everywhere, and there are animals, dogs and cats. I saw a parrot in a cage. It’s crazy,” she added.
And the bar is full.
“Stress is so high, I mean, what else are you going to do?” People are ordering vodka on the rocks with a soda. I saw a woman crying on the phone with mascara all over her face. ”
She also went across the street to the Peninsula for a late snack.
“The bars are full of millionaires looking for information. They’re searching the Citizen app and making a fuss,” Lisa Ann said.
“There are people on Realtor.com who are already looking at new homes and saying they’re leaving for Utah or Oregon. Everyone is shaking. They want to get out of California.”
Reese Witherspoon has a home in a fire zone. It’s unclear if she was in LA at the time and had to be evacuated.

Many famous people who live in the PP area include Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Reese Witherspoon, and Tom Hanks.
TMZ reported that Ben was seen driving out of Pacific Palisades and helped ex-wife Jennifer Garner escape. Affleck’s other ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, does not live in the fire area.

Janet Leigh’s daughter shared a stock photo of a burning house in a post.
“My community and possibly my home is on fire,” began the icon, who had to evacuate the area.
“My family is safe. Many of my friends will be homeless. So will many other communities.
“There are a lot of contradictory reports. Even with the advancement of technology, there seems to be little information. Please post the facts! It will help those who are lost!”

Mr Pratt, 41, was pictured watching the fast-moving fire move towards his home. The home is in an area with many celebrity mansions that are also at risk of fire.
Sources tell TMZ that Spencer and Heidi’s home was completely destroyed in a fire that broke out on Tuesday.
Fortunately, the couple and their two sons were able to safely evacuate earlier in the day before the flames approached.
But they are said to be distraught over the staggering loss.
Spencer posted a video to her Instagram Stories showing a plane dropping water on a nearby mountain, documenting firefighters’ efforts to extinguish the blaze.
